My Book Young & Stupid In Just 4 Months!

2010
_ So I have been working my ass off on my book, I got really inspired to finally get my book going, and I have some great news. My book is going to be finished within 5 months or less! The book title is "Young & Stupid: How I Made & Lost 2.5 Million Dollars" or it might even be "Young & Stupid: An Autobiography Of Andrew Fashion." I still haven't decided on the tagline, so any suggestions I am open for. I currently have some connections to some potential real publishers, but I am still seeking an agent or publisher. If I don't find one, I will figure out a way to self publish this book myself :) I really wish I could show you the new cover, it's so fucking gangster looking. The book is a story of my life, from the beginning till now, where my drive came from, what inspired me, and how I made all of my money, my life experiences, and how I lost all of my money. And how I am currently on my way back to the top. It's to inspire, motivate, and give people ideas that you could easily do it too, and it's just overall kind of a fun story, at least I think so :) Everything in the book is absolutely 100% true, and I tell everything, every single detail of what I did and how it was done, etc... To give you an idea of some of the chapter outlines, these will most definitely be changing as well, but just an idea, and I am expecting around having a 150 page standard size book. Chapter breakdown: Foreword Introduction Chapter 1: The Beginning Chapter 2: Computers, Internet, & Video Games Chapter 3: IS2S; I Skate 2 Skate Chapter 4: Why I Dropped Out Of Highschool Chapter 5: Living Alone At Age 17 Intermission Part One Chapter 6: How I Made 2 Million At Age 18 Chapter 7: My First Love Chapter 8: You Don't Have To Be A Genius Chapter 9: The Birth Of Andrew Fashion Intermission Part Two Chapter 10: How I Lost It All Chapter 11: My Depression Chapter 12: Rising To The Top Intermission Part Three
BE PREPARED FOR JUNE this summer!
Let me know your feedback everyone, suggestions, or anything is strongly appreciated as I am writing the book, and editing right now :) SO LET ME KNOW!

You need to seriously consider a ghost writer. I'm worried that you're wasting your story--and a potential bank check--by writing this yourself.

If the blog postings under "Young and Stupid" are your chapters, then the organization of your book needs improvement. A book isn't just a re-telling of your history. Rather, a book is a meticulously crafted story that manipulates the reader's emotions. Every detail, every chapter is calculated to invoke a certain feeling. Your blog postings, while interesting, don't exhibit the same craftsmanship. For instance, there are few twists and turns, and your consistent tone--the unabashful and courageous "I fucked up, but I'm on the path to redemption" tone--is uplifiting, but it will become tedious in a 200 page book. A ghost writer can help fashion a book out of the story so that the reader's climax doesn't come premature...and indeed, so that the reader climaxes. (And that's all a book is; a good orgasm.)

Moreover, a ghost writer is needed to correct the grammer and to give the prose fluidity. I think that your strenght is in creating the story, living the action, rather than retelling the story.

I absolutely agree, and I saw your post somewhere I believe, and did hire a ghost writer :) Thank you for the suggestion! :)

Again, I'm telling you this because I believe that your story has the potential to make a good book. Your rush to get this released will destroy much of its potential. I say this as someone with experience in the literature industry--formerly on the authorship side, and now on the legal side.

    Good Luck

I am definitely taking everything into consideration, I got the ghost writing idea from you. I am writing my entire story in chronological order as well as I can, and will have a ghost writer "hollywood" it up so to speak and make it appealing, compelling, grabbing, emotional, etc... :)

Since your into the trendy scene, make some of the chapter titles rhyme like
    "Too Cool for High School"
"Too much Green at Age Eighteen: I became a $2(much) Millionaire"
"Passion: The Birth Of Andrew Fashion"
"Whodini: The 2 Millionaire, went POOF into thin Air"
"The Life lesson became a depression"
"Life in the Fast Lane, but with good brakes. I'm not done yet! Restart the Engine"
"The Fall off the Ball: How I Lost It All" or "To Ball and Fall: How I Lost It All"

Also, make a blank thirteenth chapter with with only short messages on each page to help encourage people to make their own notes to start writing their own story. Also you can give them something to solve in the back of the book where they can go to your website to get the final answer.

I left supportive comments on three different blog posts yesterday, but it looks like they've been deleted. Damn Son! Whats up with that?

Young and Stupid: how I made and blew 2.5 mil is def. a better title. Autobiography sounds like your old. That wont work since youve still got a ton of plans ahead of you.

You have a point, but I have a really good story to tell, and how I made it all back being young.
